Personalized College Counseling for Every Step of the Journey
College planning can feel overwhelming. Between the deadlines, essays, testing decisions, and the growing to-do list, it's a lot to figure out alone.
College Trekking provides independent college counseling services for high school students and their families. Through one-on-one virtual meetings, we help your student find colleges that truly fit, submit well-developed applications, and walk a clear path toward college admission.
There are plenty of places to find college application help. What makes College Trekking different is our unique approach to the college journey.
Every plan is personal. No two students get the same roadmap. Your student's plan reflects their strengths, interests, goals, and timeline. We meet regularly throughout the year to thoughtfully plan their next steps and outline the path to get there.
Students build real skills. Our approach to college admissions coaching is simple: we teach students how to do the work. They learn to research colleges, ask good questions, communicate professionally, and make informed decisions. Those skills will last long after the acceptance letters arrive.
At the end of the day, this process is about more than just acceptance letters. It is an opportunity to equip students with the skills they’ll need for the journey ahead.
Guidance That Builds Confidence, Not Dependence
Find Your Starting Point
We provide three comprehensive college admissions support options that meet your student where they are.
Pathfinder
Start in 9th or 10th Grade
Start early. Stress less.
Pathfinder is for families who want to get ahead of the process before junior year pressure arrives. Your student will work with College Trekking year-round on everything that shapes a strong college application.
The Pathfinder package includes:
Academic planning and course selection guidance
Extracurricular activity development
Testing strategy, including PSAT, SAT, and ACT timing
College exploration and list development starting spring of sophomore year
Career and interest assessment
Financial aid education and early planning
Quarterly meetings at minimum, with more as your student needs them
When junior year arrives, Pathfinder students transition into our full application-season support phase, which includes everything listed in the Expedition package. We'll walk through the details and pricing for both phases during your consultation.
Expedition
Junior Year
The full journey, start to finish.
Expedition is College Trekking's flagship program. It takes juniors from college exploration through application submission and beyond. The goal is to submit all applications by mid-October of senior year so that students finish strong and can enjoy their senior year without the stress of looming application deadlines.
The Expedition package includes:
College research, list development, and refinement
Full application management, including timelines, Common App navigation, and resume development
Personal statement guidance from brainstorming through final draft, fully human-led
Testing strategy and score management
Financial aid assessment matched to your family's parameters
Quarterly meetings at minimum, with more as your student needs them
Post-submission support through final college selection, including deferral and waitlist strategy
Summit Sprint
Senior Year
Focused. Disciplined. Done.
Summit Sprint is high-touch college application assistance for seniors starting the process in August. This is a compressed program for students who already have a list of colleges in hand and are looking for help meeting that mid-October submission deadline. Because each student receives significant one-on-one time, availability is limited to a few students per cycle.
The Summit Sprint includes:
College list review and refinement (students need a starting list)
Full application management through mid-October submission
Personal statement guidance from brainstorming through final draft, fully human-led
Resume development
Financial aid assessment
Post-submission support through final college selection
A detailed intake questionnaire is required before enrollment in the Summit Sprint. Completing it shows us your student is ready to commit to the pace.
